Newsletter September 2007
Although we have not had as much rain in Denmark as in India, we have all received more than our share of wet weather this summer. However, now we are all back in office, and full of new energy to continue our SUSBIZ project. The project has not been on a complete standstill over the summer:
- Our Indian project coordinator, Pranjal, and Raghu from Four-D Consulting have been in touch with all the Indian participants, discussing the Needs Assessment reports, and commenced the preparation of the Action Plans. So far, it seems that that focus in many action plans will be on human resource management, energy efficiency, health and safety standards and management.
- The final Action Plans will feed directly into the development of the training programme, for the first Indian workshop taking place in Delhi in October. The topic of the first workshop will be CSR as a means to improve business development, with special focus on the relationship between human resource development, quality and process optimisation.
- Our project website has now been launched and will continuously be updated throughout the project. The interest in CSR and supply chain management from the press and others is increasing, but we have to stress that we from the project team cannot give any detailed information about the participating companies.
