The SUSBIZ joint workshop on CSR management in Delhi week 11 was very successful thank to the active participation from all Indian and Danish company participants. Some companies presented their experiences with management systems (SA8000 and ISO14001), and we visited two of the companies with the objective of analysing their SA8000 performance. Very interesting.
The next workshop on cleaner production – energy and environment will take place in 24-25 May (week 21) in Coimbatore in South India. At the workshop, the participants will learn how energy savings and environmental improvements can introduce cost savings and improve the company’s competitiveness. The target group for the workshop is owners and managing directors from SUSBIZ companies.
It is extremely positive to observe the companies’ engagement in working with the action plan at the last workshop in Delhi. It seems as if the companies already now see benefits in implementing the CSR improvements.
Mette Andersen from the DCCA is on leave until January 2009. The rest of the year 2008, Line Bech and Henning Høy Nygaard from the DFSME are responsible for the SUSBIZ project.
